WEEE Glossary
The Directive 2008/98/EG describes in Article 3 paragraph 1 any material or item, whose owner disposes it, wants to dispose or needs to dispose it, as waste. As defined by the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU, electrical or electronic devices, which are classified as waste, are named as old electrical equipment. This includes all structural elements, subassemblies and consumables, which are part of the product at the time of its discarding.
